He thinks we need it

Last weekend I woke up and came downstairs and Eric was already awake and watching TV (don't judge). He brought be this paper

I guess he had seen a commercial for this and felt we needed so he wrote down the number so I could order it

He sure is a funny kid!

Great Aloha Run 2011

Last year I decided to make a goal for myself - to run the 8.15 mile Great Aloha Run. I trained for a couple months and was really excited about doing it.The big day came and I got so nervous. I headed down there with a couple of my friends who were also running. We knew that we would not finish together but it was fun to start together. The race started and I was feeling really good. I tried not to really pay attention to the time because I knew about what my pace would be and I was afraid that if I started paying attention to time that it would kill me. I was going strong and thought I must be like on mile 4....then I came to the mile 2 marker and thought this was going to be a LONG race. At about mile 6 I was so done and thought to myself whether I really needed to finish the race; was it that important? I kept trucking along. Near the end I did have to stop and walk for a minute or 2 because I knew I wouldn't be able to finish if I didn't. The end of the race was running into Aloha Stadium (where the Pro Bowl is played) and out on the field. I was alittle sad near the end because everybody had family there waiting at the end and I had nobody (except my friends which I am thankful for that!) My final time was 1 hour and 46 minutes. I was pretty happy with my time since this is the longest I have gone. I was proud of myself that I was able to do it; especially after the struggle I have had with weight and health issues (and everything else I have dealt with this past year). It was alot of fun and I look forward to the next race. (which will be in a couple of posts. :)~ )

This isn't the best picture (I didn't have a camera so I took it off my friend's blog) but this is us after we all finished.
