Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...
It's about learning to dance in the rain

I'm a mean mommy and other revelations

Somewhere little Eric has heard the word mean and has figured out what it actually means (to be honest I think I had said it one day just joking around). Anyways this past week I have discovered that I am in fact a mean Mommy. I think everyday this past week little Eric has told me that "You are a mean mommy!" Usually he has said this because I have told him that he can't do something. I might be mean but I'm the only mommy you've got. :)

Some other funny stories -
The other day as we were driving somewhere little Eric asked me where bears live. I go on to tell him that depending on the type of bear depends on where they live. We talked about polar bears living in cold by the water and grizzly or black bears living usually in woods. He then tells me that penguins live in cold water. I told him that he was right. He then informed me that when the penguins get cold they go to their igloos. I then asked him where he knew all this information. He then told me, "I just know it Mommy."

A different day as we are sitting at a stoplight waiting to turn left (the light was red) little Eric told me that we couldn't go because the little man hadn't changed the light. I asked him what he had said to make sure that I had heard him right. He told me again that the little man hadn't changed the light so we couldn't go. According to him there are little men who live in the stoplights and change the lights for us.
Oh to be young again.....

Way to go Laura! I always told my kids that I got all A+ on my report card at "mean mother school". Auntie
