Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...
It's about learning to dance in the rain

Dole Plantation

Today me and Eric went to the Dole Plantation with some friends to take the kids to feed the fish in a pond they have there and to also ride the train they have. It was alot of fun. We hadn't been there yet. It was really interesting and the kids loved the train. We then had yummy pineapple ice cream and a delicious BBQ Kalua Pork sandwich (Liz I am assuming this was the sandwich that you were talking about and you are right, it was so good). It was nice to get out and hang with some friends.

Before I got here I always thought that pineapples grow on trees. Once we got here and passed the pineapple fields I then thought they grew in the ground. Well I was wrong about both. They grow on top of the plants. It was really interesting!

rows and rows of pineapple that we passed while riding the train

A Perfect Way To Spend A Day

Fly A Kite

Wait Daddy - I need your help

Look it's Spider Man in the air

Make a mermaid in the sand (although I have to say that they might need some sand building lessons. I'm very long and also a little wide. :)~ Love you baby!)

Play some football with Daddy

Look at and take pictures of hot guys

A Perfect Place

I took this the other day at Hickam Beach. With sights like this, I still can't believe that we live here. It's beautiful!

Turtle Beach

This is one of our favorite beaches to stop at when we are up on the North Shore. The sea turtles actually come up on the shore. I got a video of the sea turtles coming up out of the water (we had never seen it come up out of the water.) It still amazes me!

More pictures from Easter

So I have been kind of a slacker about getting these posted. Just wanted to post a few pictures of us dying Easter eggs. Of course little Eric had a ball. I love doing this stuff because it brings back so many memories from when I was younger.

I did not agree to this!

So we (or I should say big Eric) has always joked about buzzing little Eric's hair but I always shoot the idea down. I cut big Eric's hair this morning so it was fresh on every body's mind. This afternoon we were talking about getting little Eric's hair cut because he was in desperate need of one. Big Eric said that we could just buzz it like his. Of course little Eric thought it was a great idea. After dinner I was getting ready to get little Eric in the bath and big Eric said, "let's cut little Eric's hair". He ran upstairs to grab the clippers. They went outside and I could here big Eric making sure that little Eric understood that once we cut it it was gone. I was heading out there to talk him out of it because I did not want to cut his hair. When I got outside they had already started so there was nothing I could do. He will always be my cute little boy but I'm not sure if I am a fan of it. I do love big Eric with a buzzed head but I like my little boy with more hair on his head. Why can't I feel the same way about his hair that I do about mine - it's just hair; it will grow back.

Easter 2009

My mom made dresses for all of her girl grandkids but didn't want to leave the boys out so she made the boys bow ties. It was so cute. So it was a little big but I thought it looked great. Little Eric said on the way to church that he was not going to wear it next week. He wasn't a fan of it but I was and so was my mom (and so were a lot of people at church) so sometimes you have to do things that you don't like! :)

Just Having Some Fun

Yesterday on post there was a family fun fest activity. They had the bouncy things, the slides, and a rock wall (amongst other things). Little Eric wanted to do it so we let him try. He did a lot better than I thought he would. He didn't quite make it to the top but came close. The last picture shows how far he did get up. He got to that point and couldn't figure out where to put his foot next and I think then he got scared. We were proud of him though! :)
