I am totally ashamed to say this but realized as I was blogging about my parent's visit that I hadn't blogged about Eric's parents visit back in April. Then I started looking through my pictures and realized that I hadn't blogged about their visit because I didn't take any pictures with my camera while they were here....oops! I went looking through my mom-in-laws pictures and found some great ones to share - enjoy!!
Bellows Beach
We had a great day at Bellows Beach; the water was alittle rough and I did get stung by a jellyfish (wait - it sure doesn't sound like a great day) but it was beautiful out!Diamond Head
We did the hike up Diamond Head (which is little Eric's favorite and then went down and enjoyed the fireworks on the beach
On on the way up to the PCC we stopped at a couple of beaches to look at the scenery. One place we stopped was Laie Point where there is the big rock with a hole in the middle. It was cool to see but kind of crazy to think that water was so strong that it made the whole.
This was also our first time going through all the villages at the PCC. IT was awesome to see the culture from all the Polynesian islands.
Dole Plantation
Of course we had to go to Dole Plantation to take the train ride through the Pineapple Fields and to get Dole Whip - our favorite!
Waimea Falls
We discovered that there is a waterfall that you can swim over to and sit in the waterfall. It is a nice hike that takes you through the forest. I didn't get in the water but my boys got in a swam over to the waterfall. Little Eric wouldn't sit in the falls but big Eric did. He said the water was pretty cold.!
We had such a fun visit with Grammy and Pappy and so glad that they got to come and visit. Thanks for coming and visiting! We love you!!
