Soccer Fall 2010

Eric played soccer this past fall for Mililani Rec. They were just a bit more organized that the soccer here on post. He had a great time and loved every bit of it. It was a new experience for me though - in the previous sports when it is your turn to bring snacks I would just bring a Capri Sun and maybe a bag of chips. Well here they brought full on meals; one time he got a hot dog, chips, and drink; a couple of times he got lunchables (that is what I ended up taking - didn't want to be the party pooper of the group) one time he even got a double cheeseburger. Let's just say I was amazed. At the end of the season we had the party right after and the parents put together a pot luck of sesame chicken, rice, some other kind of meat - it was a full on feast. I have come to discover that people here love any reason to get together and eat and I am OK with that. :)
Eric did really good though and his skills have been improving. In this league they played by AYSO rules so there were no goalies but Eric playing here on post last season where they did have goalies really kind of struggled at the beginning. He is like his Aunt Catie and LOVES playing goalie. I think he is going to be a defender; he sure has the foot to do it!
I sure am proud of him and look forward to watching him excel in sports. I posted pictures from a few of his games.

Here is Eric with his coaches and trophey and goody bag that he got. It was a great season!
