I don't know what I started.....

About 2 weeks ago my friend Erin and her family were over at my house. Erin needed to nurse her 5 month old baby Harlee but had forgotten the blanket in the car. I told her not to worry about going to get it - she could just borrow a blanket from me. I pulled a blanket down and it happened to be the blanket that I used the most when Eric was a baby (thanks for the blanket Aunt Lynne - it's the best). After they left that night I mentioned to Eric that I used that blanket all the time with him when he was a baby. Well then he had to have and I couldn't put it back up in the closet. At first it started that he wanted Mr Doggy (his stuffed dog and best friend; who he cannot sleep without) swaddled in it (should have gotten a picture of that). It was like that for a couple of days. Mr Doggy even had to come to church with us last week swaddled in the blanket. Well then Eric stared insisting that he be covered up with it when he went to bed (on one side of the blanket is clouds and the other side polka dots and he HAD to have the clouds on top). He soon figured out that he was too long for the blanket. He then insisted that his feet be covered up with his sheet and the rest of his body be covered up with the blanket. I wish I got his feet in the picture so you could really see it. Eric even would bring the blanket into my bed when he comes in in the middle of the night. Tonight when I tucked him in we had to cover him up with the cloud blanket and cover his feet up with his sheet; but about 10 minutes later he called me into his room and told me that he didn't want to cover up with the cloud blanket. We will see how tomorrow goes. I wonder if Mr Doggy will have to join us at church again swaddled. :)

All my kids had those great blankets from the Aunties too! I love Eric's pillow case--what a great way to keep his daddy close during these long deployments. Very cute little boy you have there!

Eric's mom did the pillowcases for all 3 of us. You see little eric's; mine has a picture of me and big Eric and big Eric's has a picture of me and little ERic. They are all really cute and little Eric loves the idea of being able to sleep on Daddy.
