I know I haven't gotten on in a while to post anything. We were in Massachusetts for about six days and then I was just lazy. Then this past Monday I was working out and hurt my back; so then I was laid out on my couch for the rest of the week. I went to the doctor on Tuesday and she said I was having a muscle spasm in my lower back. She sent me home with a muscle relaxer and Naproxen. I was told that the muscle relaxer would knock me out but it sure didn't. The naproxen on the other hand did (unless the muscle relaxer took about 12 hours to kick in. :)~ ) Every time I was on my couch I was usually asleep. I feel bad - I think little Eric got neglected. And of course this couldn't have come at a worse time. The next day a realtor was coming to list the house so I needed to get it cleaned. I had half of it done before I went to work out. Thank goodness for great friends. My good friend Erin came by and pretty much finished cleaning my house for me. Erin you don't know how much that meant to me!! Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!! I owe you big time!!! But we got the house listed and I have to pretty much keep the house clean at all times and make my bed every morning! This is going to kill me! :) We haven't had anybody come and look at it and with this economy it makes me nervous. So lets just keep our fingers crossed.
Little Eric is his same old self. He loves school and that makes me happy. This week they had a little oral test for the teacher to see if they could recognize their vowels and the sound that it makes and little Eric passed it. :) He always has something new to tell me when he comes home. He did tell me that he got moved to a different table because he couldn't stop talking with one of his friends (who happens to be a girl and she thinks that Eric is her boyfriend. It's pretty cute.) I asked him why he didn't stop talking when his teacher told him to and he said that he didn't because he just couldn't stop. I've got a chatty cathy on my hands. :)
Some other cute funny stories:
The other day we were coming home from school and he told me that it was fall. And the reason he knew it was fall was because the leaves were changing. I guess they had been talking about seasons that day.
On the way home from the gym on Monday Eric asked me when Daddy was going to be home. I told him that we just have a little while longer - about 3 months. He then said(while counting on his fingers), "Tomorrow is Monday (he is still trying to get his days down), then we have the next day, and then the next day and then Daddy will be home. I said no not 3 days, 3 months; about 90 days. He then said, "Oh that is a long time, I don't have that many fingers to count."
Today on the way to church little Eric asked if I would buy him a sled for when it snows. I told him I would buy a sled when it snows. Little does he know I don't think we will see a single snowflake for a while.
Well that is all the "Ericisms" I have for the day. Check back soon and I'm sure I will have some more. :)
