The kid cracks me up!

I've been meaning to get on here for about a week and post but needless to say I didn't so I have a few funny things to post. Most of these things happened within the past week and a half.
Last Tuesday at hockey practice I was reading my magazine and looking up and watching Eric every few minutes. (I'm sure all the parents think that I am a bad mother because as they are all intently watching their child I am very much engrossed in my magazine or book. Anways, at one point I looked up to see what he was doing and saw that he was not paying attention and just doing what ever he wanted. So after practice I told him that I saw him not doing what he was supposed and he needs to make sure that he listens to his coach or he is not going to play. He told me that I didn't see him because I was reading my magazine. I said that yes I did and he told me again that I didn't see him because I was reading a magazine. Okay you little brat - just worry about what you are supposed to be doing and I will worry about what the both of us are doing. :)
One night last week our power had flickered off and on a couple of times (it only stayed off about 5 seconds). Of course it was when I was getting little Eric ready for bed so he didn't want to go. I assured him that it would be okay; I had the flashlight right there if anything happened. WE read his story and scriptures and then kneeled down for prayers. After we said amen he looked at me and said, "Sorry Mommy i had to keep one eye open in case the power went off i could get the flashlight. Sorry mommy for keeping one eye open." I thought I would die laughing
Then the story to just make you smile. Every night as I tuck little Eric into bed I always tell him to have sweet dreams. One morning he wakes up and I ask him if he had had sweet dreams. He told me yes; he dreamed that daddy was home and that made him happy.
I'm sure i'll think of other other stories of funny things he did and i'll make sure to post them.
Kids - they crack me up!
